The Google Pixel Watch was officially announced at the company’s I/O 2022 event on Wednesday by Rick Osterloh and it is reportedly set to be released alongside the Pixel 7 smartphone later this year. Featuring a bold circular dome design, tactile crown, recycled stainless steel chassis, and customizable bands.
No specifications were revealed, but we do know that the Pixel Watch boasts a 50-meter water resistance, 4G LTE connectivity (optional), and GPS navigation. On the software side, it runs an improved Wear OS UI with smart notifications that can be accessed by swiping up from the bottom and fluid navigation. Pricing has not yet been set, but it should be competitive with the Galaxy Watch 4, which retails for $249.99 USD.
