HyperKin’s SupaBoy S might be more practical, but this guy’s custom creation will definitely turn more heads. Why? Well, he managed to turn a Super Famicom / Super NES console into a fully-functional portable gaming machine, completed with LCD display, integrated controller and a top-loading cartridge slot. Other features include: built-in speakers with a volume knob on the back and a light-up power button.
Rather than hollowing out the controller and integrating the electronics into the housing so it looked more like a Game Boy, the modder behind this clever project simply cut a hole and plopped a Famicom controller right into his creation. With the right adapter(s), you could get SNES cartridges to work as well, including Game Genie should you need some help.
