Holoride Virtual Reality Car
Virtual reality (VR) startup Holoride partnered with Universal Pictures and car maker Ford to launch a new location-based, immersive Bride of Frankenstein experience, and in a moving car to boot. This VR experience will give viewers a chance to accompany the “Bride of Frankenstein” on a trip to deliver a message to Frankenstein himself by simply riding in a dedicated Ford Explorer. Once you’re inside the car, slip on the headset, which is connected to in-car sensors that respond to acceleration, steering, etc. to translate its movements into visual and audio effects in the VR experience. This 10-minute “Universal Monsters Presents Bride of Frankenstein” experience will be available ot the Universal CityWalk starting on October 14th through November 9th.
