Huawei’s press event at Mobile World Congress 2019 is scheduled for Sunday at 2 pm CET (8 am EST), but some who happen to be around Fira de Barcelona have managed to snap a picture of the Huawei Mate X before its official debut. Unfortunately, no technical details were leaked, though the sign does tout the handset as “the world’s fastest foldable 5G phone,” which would mean it should be faster than the Samsung Galaxy Fold that was announced earlier this week. “Huawei also appears to be taking a different strategy than Samsung for the Mate X, folding the screen outward to convert the single larger display into usable screen on both sides of the closed phone, as opposed to the Galaxy Fold, which features two discrete screens: a smaller one on the outside and the larger, folding internal display,” reports The Verge.
