Sleek and stylish, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable smartphone is unlike most on the market, as it has a display that folds outwards, expanding it from 6.5-inches to 7.8-inches. When folded, the device measures 11.1mm thick, while is still quite pocket-friendly, but unfolded, the 5.4mm thickness makes it a slim media consumption machine, complete with no visible display and body gaps.
It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G SoC, 8GB / 12GB of RAM, 256GB / 512GB of internal storage, a triple camera system out back (50MP f/1.8 Primary + 13MP f/2.2 Ultra-Wide + 8MP f/2.4 Telephoto), a 32MP front-facing selfie camera, a USB-C port, and a 4880 mAh battery with 66W fast wired charging. The smartphone runs HarmonyOS 2, a Linux kernel that uses the open-source Android code to support running operating system’s apps, in addition to those on Huawei’s own app store. Available now in China, priced from $1,513 USD. However, some may still prefer the Samsung Galaxy Fold’s folding mechanism.
