You’ve seen its MOBIS Tech E-Corner System, now check out the actual Hyundai IONIQ 5 N electric vehicle, which made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week. An N Drift Optimizer helps maintain the drift angle by balancing multiple vehicle controls responding to real-time inputs, while Torque Kick Drift allows the driver to simulate the clutch kick action of rear-wheel-driven ICE vehicles.
Power comes from dual electric motors that generate a combined 641 hp with N Grin Boost activated, enabling it to hit 62 mph in 3.4-seconds, while topping out at 162 mph. To ensure it can stop on a dime, the IONIQ 5 N boasts N-tuned brakes, Hyundai’s most powerful braking system to date, consisting of 400-mm diameter front discs with four-piston monobloc calipers and 360-mm rear discs. Four 21-inch forged aluminum wheels wrapped in 275/35 Pirelli P Zero tires are fit for both the track and daily driving. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
