ISS Astronauts Super Bowl LVIII Football
Super Bowl LVIII is slated to begin at 3:30 pm ET, but astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) are preparing for the event by tossing a football around in zero-gravity.

One thing that may surprise you is that there is no satellite television aboard the ISS, as its orbit would make receiving a stable signal challenging. However, the astronauts are able to have television shows uplinked to them direct from the Mission Control Center at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. One thing the astronauts do have is ISS broadband internet service, which transmits information at a rate of 600 megabits per second (Mbps), which does mean they can possibly stream shows, or at least from services that don’t require geolocation tracking.
