Drako Motors first unveiled the GTE, a 1,200-horsepower and 6,491 lb-ft of wheel torque supercar, last year, but now, Jay Leno gives us his first impressions of the $1.25-million electric vehicle. It’s touted as a four passenger ultra luxury supercar with cornering precision unlike any other on the road today, thanks to a quad-motor setup, with an electric motor at each wheel, and torque vectoring driven by industry leading algorithms.
The production GTE is claimed to have a top speed of 206 miles per hour and will also be able to last in high-performance situations using an internal massively-parallel cooling architecture that surrounds each individual battery cell and helps quickly dissipate heat. It’s set to go into production later this year, and deliveries will start in late 2020. For those who have the money, there’s only going to be 25-units made available for purchase, or at least this model year.
