Limiting Factor Submarine Mariana Trench
Triton’s deep-sea submersible Limiting Factor made headlines last year with its pilot Victor Vescovo, but now, they’ve teamed up with EYOS Expeditions and Caladan Oceanic to allow members of the public to dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. This trip will be able to take up to three guests or “mission specialists” this June on this journey at the hefty price of $750,000 USD each. Read more for a video and additional information.

Limiting Factor’s descents and ascents are expected to last more than four hours each, with another four hours to be spent on the seafloor. The two-person submersible is rated to 14,000m and currently the only vehicle ever constructed that is capable of multiple dives to full ocean depth. It has already made the Mariana Trench trek five times. Guests will then join the hadal exploration vessel Pressure Drop in Guam for the one-day trip out to the site for the dives.
