Even after stating his case, he received two penalty points on his license and is required to pay a 50 yuan ($7.25) fine. “After his story went viral on social media and was picked up by mainstream news outlets, the Jinan traffic authority cancelled the ticket and explained that ‘the traffic surveillance system automatically identifies a driver’s motion and then takes a photo,’ which is why his face scratching triggered the artificial intelligence-powered device,” reports Oddity Central.
