Mario Kart 64 Skip Speedrun Bowser Castle
The trickiest skip in Mario Kart 64 has been used in a speedrun for the first time, and it can be performed in Bowser’s Castle by those who dare. When perfected, it allows a player to drive through a wall, which saves precious time in a speedrun. Forest64, a famous speedrunner, spent over 200-hours playing to set a new non-shortcut Bowser’s Castle record using the skip on March 11, 2023.

After Forest64 set that record, Crhstian C. also managed to hit the skip that you see in the video above and earned the title of fastest non-shortcut time. However, the story doesn’t end there, as Beck Abney topped both of them by setting a new world record for Bowser’s Castle on April 4th without even using the skip. Fans can play Mario Kart 64 now on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
