Inventor Matty Benedetto of Unnecessary Inventions unveils his latest project, the McRandomizer, a Happy Meal-inspired device that randomly orders a meal at McDonald’s using his own voice. The latter required recording sound clips of every single menu item and then categorizing (side dish, dessert, etc.) them into their own folder.
As for the hardware side of things, it features an Adafruit ESP32 Feather V2 processor with a USB-C charging port, an Adafruit Music Maker FeatherWing for the audio files, and then a push button that randomly spits out an order to the speaker, all housed in a 3D-printed, Happy Meal-inspired case. Let’s just say that you’ll end up with some bizarre menu combinations, like a Hot Fudge Sundae with Apple Slices.

Yeah I wish you could order a random meal. If you go into a store and say ‘gimme something random’ it sort of breaks them and they don’t know what to do. it would be great if they implemented something like that though,” said one commenter.
