Mercedes-Benz G-Class Snow Tracks
One Mercedes-Benz G-Class owner spent $146,000 USD transforming his off-road machine into a snow track-equipped vehicle worthy of a Swiss Alps adventure. To make it happen, he partnered with Delta 4×4 to add a set of Mattracks in place of each wheel that mount onto the hub, while the linkage to the buckets boasts an articulated mechanism enabling the tracks to move.

Each 375-pound track mounts on an 18.5-inch sprocket made of fiber-reinforced rubber, while the ground contact area measures between 65.72 to 93-square-inches), which is plenty of grip even in the most adverse snow conditions. Most importantly, they can be quickly installed and removed in case of emergency. One caveat: the G500 alone sets you back at least $263,000 USD, even without the snow tracks.
