Watch out Porsche Taycan, the Mercedes Vision AMG is coming by 2025. This electric four-door coupe is based on the dedicated AMG.EA platform, which is currently under development in Affalterbach for all-electric performance models. On the exterior, you’ll find a long wheelbase with short overhangs, large wheels, a distinctive rear spoiler and unique star-shaped headlights.
The automaker did not release any technical specifications, but we do know that it’s powered by an Axial Flux Motor developed by Mercedes-Benz’ wholly owned subsidiary YASA. This Aerial Flux Motor consists of a compact and lightweight design capable of delivering substantially more power than conventional electric motors. We’re still waiting for the Mercedes-AMG GT Silver Echo to be released as a limited production model.

The Vision AMG shows in spectacular style what electrification could look like at Mercedes-AMG, while staying true to the brand aesthetic. The study’s extreme proportions create fascination and passion for performance – that’s what AMG is all about. The Vision AMG is an impressive embodiment of the brand’s dual polarity – the interplay of beauty and the extraordinary. At the same time, elements from the future, such as the light signatures with the illuminated high-tech grille, underscore the progressive evolution of our design language of Sensual Purity,” said Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
