Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Weather
Microsoft teamed up with Meteoblue to offer gamers realistic and accurate weather in the upcoming release of Flight Simulator 2020. Meteoblue divided Earth into 250 million boxes, and the wind speed, temperature, humidity, pressure and other factors, are measured within each box. The model model also includes 60 separate atmospheric layers that reach all the way up into the stratosphere, so you’ll experience various conditions as you climb or descend for a landing. Aside from weather, Microsoft’s Azure AI analyzes map data and photogrammetry to generate ultra reaslitic 3D models of buildings, trees, terrain, and more. This enables the simulator to show most parts of the world in 3D photo-realism, while also providing realistic physics / weather systems, and utilization of real-world weather data from Meteoblue.
