It’s safe to say that the Mitsubishi Amity VP, first released in 1997, was far ahead of its time. This tablet not only ran the full Windows 95 operating system, but also had something called Casio Netkitchen, which turned it into an internet appliance of sorts.
Aside from the touchscreen, at least one configuration featured a 133MHz AMD5x86 processor, 16MB of EDO RAM, an 810MB hard drive, and has Windows for Pen Computing v2.0 pre-installed. Very little information is available on this tablet device, but a few did surface on eBay last year, priced at $98 USD.

Back in 2010 there is a clearance of Amity VP that was used for inventory management on a huge warehouse in my local area, I still regret not to snatch couple of those considering nowadays it is impossible to find one, let alone on working condition,” said one commenter.
