You won’t need to spend a fortune to get your hands on Midway’s Mortal Kombat 2 source code, unlike these Caviar Mortal Kombat iPhones, as someone has leaked it online. One fan, who goes by Pegasus Kid, discovered many never before seen sprites and animations, including Johnny Cage’s unfinished Fatality animation as well as a new attack.
There’s also a blue-skinned Scorpion and a random picture of someone swimming on a beach named MKVOG in the files. Remember the mysterious Terracotta Soldiers from The Tower? They are also found in the source code, complete with glowing green eyes. Shao Khan’s large hand was also reportedly a fatality where it goes into a portal and out another section of the screen, crushing the second player. Check it out here.
