NASA SpaceX Dragon Capsule Undocking ISS
NASA astronaut Don Petit captured a fascinating video of SpaceX’s Dragon capsule undocking from the International Space Station (ISS), or more specifically Commercial Resupply Service (CRS) 31. No, the spacecraft isn’t blasting off at incredible speeds, as what you’re about to see is a time-lapse.

For those who aren’t familiar with Dragon XL, it will be the capsule that shuttles supplies to NASA’s future Lunar Gateway under a Gateway Logistics Services (GLS). The capsule will typically stay at the Gateway for 6 to 12 months at a time, when research payloads inside and outside the cargo vessel could be operated remotely, even without crews. It has a payload capacity that exceeds 11,000 pounds and does not have any additional requirements for a return to Earth when necessary.
