That’s exactly what Luke Miani did, and aesthetically, you wouldn’t even know that the game console can now function as a powerful OS X machine. There were a few modifications needed to make the Wii case suitable for the Mac Mini internals, like sourcing a smaller fan.
A custom power supply unit and running the HDMI out of the back of the Wii console for easier access ensured that there were no issues connecting the device. Whatever couldn’t be purchased had to be 3D-printed, but in the end everything worked flawlessly. However, there was very slight performance loss due to less cooling since the full-sized fan had to be removed.
