Royal 24K Gold Nintendo Wii Console Queen Elizabeth
THQ made a royal 24K gold Nintendo Wii console for the late Queen Elizabeth II back in 2009 to celebrate the launch of Big Family Games (Neighborhood Games in the US). They actually sent this golden Wii to Buckingham Palace as a present, but it never cleared security, and was promptly sent back to THQ headquarters. Many years later, Donny from Console Variations acquired it in 2017.

The console was put up for auction earlier this year, but its whereabouts are unknown as of today. Since Console Variations specializes in cataloguing console variants, this gold Wii was a cornerstone of Donny’s collection for at least 4-years. Still have an old Nintendo Wii console laying around? You could try transforming it into a Game Boy Advance SP-inspired handheld console.

  • Includes a Switch console, Switch dock, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R), and two Joy-Con strap accessories
  • Game not included

The bottom of the serial number is very slightly covered with the red fabric it was displayed on by THQ. This may not be considered a flaw, rather a nostalgic part of the console. However, it should be mentioned. The Wii-mote has some wear on the bottom. My guess is that it was actually used at one point,” said its former owner Donny.
