Japanese electronics company Onkyo has just unveiled a pair of nifty SEGA Saturn true wireless earphones (CP-TWS01A) that look to be straight from the 1990s. Featuring earbuds that look like controllers and a charging case that resembles the console itself.
Technical specifications, such as battery life, audio technology (drivers, amplifiers, etc.), and sensors (microphone) have not yet been revealed, although the wireless charging pad could be mistaken for an actual game disc from afar. They go on sale tomorrow in Japan, priced at around $100 USD for just the earphones or $130 with the wireless charging pad.

The SEGA Saturn, successor to the Genesis, was first released on November 22, 1994 in Japan and was part of the fifth generation of video game consoles. It features a dual-CPU architecture and eight processors, while its games are in CD-ROM format, including several ports of arcade games. Unfortunately, Sony released the PlayStation launched a few weeks later, and sealed the Saturn’s fate even before it really got off the ground.
