
The DJI Air 2S just might be the best Mavic yet, as it’s the first drone of its size capable of capturing 20-megapixel still images or video in 5.4K with a new one-inch sensor that was previously available only on larger, less agile UAVs. There’s also a new MasterShots feature that utilizes automatic flight path planning to set the drone’s course while recording video. The 2022 Nissan GT-R NISMO has just made its debut, alongside a special edition version, which are both planned to launch this October in Japan. Both models will be offered in the new, NISMO-exclusive NISMO Stealth Gray body color, while the special edition sports a NISMO-exclusive clear-coated carbon fiber hood and 20-inch Rays aluminum forged wheels that sport a red accent, matching existing accents around the body. You may have seen a previous version of Carnegie Mellon University’s snake robot, but now it’s capable of swimming underwater, thanks to a modular robotics platform. This means that it will be able to inspect ships, submarines and infrastructure for damage. The Hardened Underwater Modular Robot Snake (HUMRS) was tested by a team from the Biorobotics Lab in the School of Computer Science’s Robotics Institute last month in the university’s pool.

Remember Sonic Adventure from 1998 on the SEGA Dreamcast? If so, this fan-made game will bring back some memories. Officially called “Sonic Adventure: Dreams Edition”, it was created by two gamers and also draws inspiration from the Boost system used in Sonic Unleashed, along with some of the character assets, including Sonic himself. The game starts off in an open-world hub that is large enough to let you run at full-speed.

There have been many pyramid-shaped UFOs in science fiction films, like the one you see above (right), but this is the first time that the US Navy confirmed a sighting made with a night vision camera. Filmmaker Jeremy Corbell claims that footage was captured by the USS Russell’s Nautical Or Otherwise Photographic Interpretation and Examination (SNOOPIE) team back in 2019, a specialized team that deals with all surface or airborne contacts with a vessel.

The House of the Dead: Remake is officially heading to the Nintendo Switch, developed by MegaPixel Studio and published and co-produced by Forever Entertainment. This modern re-imagining will have updated graphics and modified gameplay mechanics, although its plot will remain “faithful” to the original. The cutscenes, animations, and audio have all been pulled from the original game, but there’s no word yet on how players will control the character(s).
