Petit Qoobo Headless Cat Robot
Yukai Engineering’s Petit Qoobo just might be the strangest robot yet at CES 2020. This pillow-like device is the followup to the company’s larger Qoobo that was unveiled last year, and it’s exactly as it looks, a tail wagging robot, but this time, with a microphone to detect sound, as well as haptic feedback for vibrating softly to mimic occasional purrs. There’s not much more to it, as the main selling point is the Petit Qoobo is small enough to fit in a bag or purse, so you’ll be able to take it with you, whether to your workplace, school, or even on a plane. The robot is just a prototype for now, but its larger predecessor is priced at $149, so this should come in around $99 or less when it’s released later this year.
