No longer just a concept, the Honda GT is officially part of Honda’s China-exclusive “Ye” series of electric vehicles, unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2025 as a pre-production model. It comes in two variants: GAC Honda GT (red) and Dongfeng Honda GT (blue), produced through Honda’s joint ventures with Chinese automakers GAC and Dongfeng.
It’s essentially sporty, coupe-like EV with a sleek roofline, two-tone paint, and a modernized Honda badge. It’s positioned as a flagship in the Ye lineup, following the Ye S7 and P7 SUVs. Its main rivals include the BYD Seal, Xpeng P7i, NIO ET5, Tesla Model 3, and Zeekr 001, all of which offer strong range, power, and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) at competitive prices.

Official powertrain specifications have not yet been revealed, but there should be a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant producing 268 hp (200 kW), along with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant with a combined output of 469 hp (350 kW). With that said, this EV targets China’s urban, tech-savvy consumers, and should be priced competitively like other Ye models (Ye P7 starts at $27,200).

The Honda GT’s interior focuses on cutting-edge tech, especially with tons of screens and camera setups. The dashboard is filled with multiple clear, sharp displays, giving it a pilot’s cockpit vibe. You also get screens on the door panels, connected to outside cameras that replace traditional side mirrors. These show live views from the cameras, providing a modern twist on regular mirrors.
