Samsung was supposed to replace the Plus model with a super thin Edge phone next year. Poor sales of the S25 Edge changed everything—only 1.3 million units sold in three months compared to 5 million for the S25 Plus. The Edge successor was scrapped and the Plus name was brought back. New Galaxy S26 Plus leaks now show exactly what you’ll get next year.
New CAD renders show a phone that looks a lot like last year’s S25 Plus from the front. A 6.7 inch flat screen behind thin, even bezels and a centered hole for the selfie camera. Rounded corners and flat sides for better grip. All buttons on the right—volume rockers above the power key. Flip it over and one clear difference appears.

Design wise, three lenses stacked vertically on the top left but now on a raised pill shaped platform that protrudes from the back glass. Each lens protrudes a bit more and the LED flash is to the right. This is consistent with early leaks for the S26 Ultra. The colors in these renders—bright orange or white—are placeholders from the leaker. The dimensions are 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35mm, which is the same as the S25 Plus but thicker than the canceled Edge at 5.8mm. For the time being, Samsung appears to be moving away from super thin designs; nevertheless, a future “More Slim” Edge may appear later.

Power is by different chips depending on the region. Some markets get the Qualcomm 8 Elite Gen 5 while others get the Samsung Exynos 2600. Reports say it will have 12 or 16GB of fast RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. The panel is a 6.7 inch LTPO AMOLED with QHD+ resolution and 1-to-120Hz variable refresh rate. A 4900mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging via Qi2 magnets. Android 16 with One UI 8.5, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and IP68 water resistance.Cameras rumors are mixed, the main 50MP sensor is expected to remain the same. The 12MP ultrawide will likely carry over as well. The 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom might shrink a bit or get a tiny resolution bump—details are unknown but significant increases seem unlikely.

Samsung will announce the entire S26 lineup in late January 2026 and sales should start in early February. The basic S26 and Ultra will join the Plus, making three models in total. Price rumors are quiet for now but component costs have gone up so a small increase from the S25 Plus is possible. With new competition from Apple and Google, Samsung is sticking to what they know and getting back to form.
