What better way for Santa Claus to power slide out of 2020 than in a rally car? That’s exactly what happened here, and in a classic BMW E36 M3 to boot. The modification list wasn’t provided, but it’s definitely winter road ready, complete with 400 hp and an open exhaust. As for grip on the snowy roads, the car has a set of studded rally-spec snow tires to keep it planted on the ground. These tires literally have metal studs embedded within the tread that are designed to dig into ice.
There aren’t too many places where one could freely drive a rally car around without putting someone other than the driver in danger, that is unless…you live in Finland, like this Santa. If you’re not already a rally fan, there’s the annual Rally Finland in the Finnish Lakeland in Central Finland. It’s driven on wide and smooth gravel roads, with blind crests as well as several big jumps. The event is currently the fastest in the World Rally Championship and has been dubbed the “Grand Prix of Rallying”.
