Once installed, you get an 8.95-inch, anti-glare display that seamlessly hovers over your dashboard and only requires a single-DIN space. There’s also support for WebLink Cast, a lightweight app delivery platform that uses an Android or iOS device connection to mirror smartphone screen right on the XAV-AX8000’s display. As for sound, you get a built-in 4-channel amplifier delivering 55 watts x 4 (max. at 4 ohms) / 20 watts x 4 (RMS at 4 ohms) output power with DRA2 (Dynamic Reality Amp 2) power IC, while a Dynamic Stage Organizer (DSO) creates vivid sound image as if there were speakers on the dashboard. It’s set to go on sale in December, priced at $599.99.
