SPI Energy Edison Future EF1-T Electric Pickup Truck
SPI Energy, a global renewable energy company, announced today that its EdisonFuture Motor subsidiary will officially debut its next-generation electric pickup truck, the EF1-T, at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19-28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The company did provide an early sneak peek, with the standard model being equipped with a drivetrain generating 350 kilowatts, or 470 horsepower, while their top of the line “Super” model produces 600 kilowatts, or 816 horsepower.



The EF1-T e-pickup trucks is desigend for utility as well as commercial use, and comes with solar mosaic technology that harnesses the power of the sun to recharge its batteries, thus enabling work vehicles to continuously charge while in the field. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, bot for anyone wanting to see a prototype in-person, just head over to the LA Auto Show next month.
