It’s official, Super Nintendo World is opening at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023, transporting theme park guests into the world of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Aside from the game-like colors and clever architecture, guests will step into a newly expanded area of the theme park that features a groundbreaking ride as well as several interactive areas, to be enjoyed by all fans alike. Like the other Universal Studios Hollywood sections, there will be themed shopping and dining to further enhance the entire experience. To celebrate this occasion, Universal Studios Hollywood will unveil a takeover of its popular Feature Presentation retail store, complete with Super Nintendo World theming. No exact opening date has been revealed, but for comparison, the Super Nintendo World in Japan opened on March 18, 2021.
- This LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Luigi Starter Course buildable game features a LEGO Luigi figure for fun interactive family or solo play
- LEGO Luigi has a color sensor and an LCD screen to display many different instant reactions to movement and action bricks alongside his path
- Luigi's speaker plays iconic sounds and music from the video game while collecting digital coins for spinning seesaw and flying challenges
Located just inside the theme park’s main entrance, guests will have a chance to share their excitement for the land’s 2023 arrival by gearing up with merchandise such as Mario and Luigi themed apparel and iconic character hats. A selection of plush characters, including Yoshi, Mario, Bowser and Luigi in a variety of sizes, will also be among the many fun items available for purchase,” said Nintendo.
