The Tesla Model 3 Performance, which starts at $57,940 USD, may not seem like a formidable opponent for the $230,000 Lamborghini Urus super SUV in a drag race, but CarWOW shows us why this isn’t the case. On paper, the Euro-spec Model 3 boasts 490 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque, while the Urus generates 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque.
Both vehicles are all-wheel drive, which doesn’t give either a major advantage off the line, although the Model 3 does weigh approximately 880-pounds less than the Urus. As for 0-60 mph times, the Model clocks a 3.1-second run and the Urus completes it in 3.6-seconds. One thing the Model 3 doesn’t have is a throaty exhaust system to showcase its power, especially since the first run started from a roll at 50 mph. In related news, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio also took on the Urus and managed to hold its own.
