The Tesla Model S Plaid is fast, but can it take on a Ferrari SF90 and Porsche 911 Turbo S in a drag racing shodown? CarWow wanted to find out and pit all three against each other at an airfield. Most know that the Tesla Model S Plaid has a tri-motor setup generating 1,020 hp and 1,047 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in 1.99 seconds.
You can’t count the Ferrari SF90 Stradale out either, as it has a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, paired with two electric motors, that generate a combined 986 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling it to hit 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Lastly, we have the Porsche 911 Turbo S, which is slightly underpowered, but definitely no slouch. Featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine generating 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
