Compact and stylish, the Tokina Mini Pieni II camera is designed to be more of a novelty rather than a photographer’s tool. This 51mm (w) x 18mm (d) x 36mm (h) camera is small enough to easily fit in your pocket and can not only capture 1.31-megapixel photos, but also video as well, thanks to a 1/10 Type CMOS sensor.
File formats supported include JPEG (1280 x 1024 resolution), MJPEG (AVI, 720 x 480 @ 30fps) and MP3 audio. There’s no touchscreen display anywhere on the body, just a power / mode button, viewfinder, and an LED on the rear to show what mode the camera is in. What you end up with are watercolor-like photographs, or in other words, images that look similar to those captured by the original iPhone. Available now in Japan, priced at $34.08 USD each. Although not as pocket-friendly, this Game Boy Camera turned DSLR is just as cool.
