YouTuber Norm Nakamura, better known as Tokyo Lens on social media, recently visited a bizarre tiny apartment located at the top of a small building in the city, complete with an extremely narrow stairwell.
What visitors will notice right away are the wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows that offer little privacy when the shades are up, but does provide some nice views at times of Tokyo Tower, especially on a nice spring / summer day. This also means the bathtub and toilet are in full view of your neighbors, while an escape ladder can be used in case of emergency. There’s even a small kitchen area that includes a sink, an induction stove, as well as an awkwardly placed air conditioning unit.

Forget the claustrophobic panic I would feel getting up to that apartment and living in it, I would have nightmares of leaving a window open and falling out of my home and ending up as a pancake on the street. What if you dropped your phone and it just slid out of the side of your home. Oh my God. I don’t even know how most of that is legal,” said one commenter
