Only a single BMW M2 CSL prototype exists in the world and Top Gear was lucky enough to get a hands-on look at the unreleased model. What happened? Two special edition M2 models were built for executives to greenlight for production, either a BMW M2 CS or the M2 CSL, and the rest is history.
This vehicle draws heavy influence from the BMW M4 GTS, starting with its large fixed rear wing and roll cage. Unlike the BMW M4 GTS, the M2 CSL boasts 3D-printed uprights for the wing, which blends both style and function. Powering this beast is an N55 engine, or the turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, we don’t know what kind of modifications it could have to boost power.
