Remember Project Leonardo from CES 2023? The official name has been revealed, and it’s called the PS5 Access Controller. This accessibility controller kit can be fully customized to enable gamers with disabilities to enjoy games more comfortably and for longer periods.
The PS5 Access Controller will boast various swappable buttons and stick caps so players can create their own layouts that work for them. You can also use the Access controller on flat surfaces, rotate it 360-degrees, or fasten it to an AMPS mount or tripod. Four 3.5mm AUX ports lets you integrate specialty switches, buttons or analog sticks. Aside from hardware customization, Access controller also lets you create personalized UI settings and configurations. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.

On the PS5 console, players can select their preferred orientation for the Access controller, map different inputs to the various buttons, toggle buttons on or off, or even map two different inputs onto the same button. They can also create and store their favorite control profiles for different games or genres (such as ‘combat’ or ‘driving’),” said Hideaki Nishino, Senior Vice President, Platform Experience, SIE.
