XPeng Voyager X2 Electric Flying Car
Electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng Motors does not want to be left out of the flying car market, and that’s why they are currently developing the Voyager X2. Weighing in at 794-pounds, it boasts eight propellers across four axes, and full-autonomous capabilities, capable of transporting a total payload of 1,235-pounds or up to 8-passengers. Human tests have yet to be conducted, but once it reaches that stage, XPeng will ensure maximum safety by using eight independent battery groups for extreme redundancy, along with a 24-hour monitoring system. Should the aircraft not be able to land, each Voyager X2 comes equipped with an ejection parachute Aside from autonomous flight, it can map the ground and determine the safest spot for self-landing.

In August, XPeng delivered 7,214 Smart EVs, representing a 172% increase year-over-year. Deliveries in August consisted of 6,165 P7s, the Company’s sports smart sedan, and 1,049 G3s, its smart compact SUV. 2021 year-to-date deliveries reached 45,992 vehicles, representing a 334% increase year-over-year. P7 deliveries continued to strengthen, achieving a record month in August and a 209% increase year-over-year,” said the company in its latest press release.
