It’s official, you’ll soon be seeing the 2025 Ford Expedition SSV police interceptor on the roads. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine producing 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission, enabling the vehicle to tow up to 9,600 pounds.
This second-generation Expedition SSV comes in a two-row configuration with cloth seating surfaces, vinyl floors, as well as a multitude of power points for all areas of the vehicle. Law enforcement agencies needing even more space can opt for the Expedition Max SSV, which offers three rows of seating with third Row 60/40 PowerFold boasting Power Recline to help accommodate personnel and equipment. Other features include Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert, and BLIS with Trailer Coverage.
