With deliveries set to begin in March, it’s no surprise that 2025 Tesla Model Y production vehicles have been spotted at Giga Shanghai as production ramps up. Some of these are ‘Launch Series’ edition vehicles, which come with special badges and exclusive interior materials.
At launch, it will only be available in Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range All-Wheel-Drive variants, with the latter boasting a range of up to 446 miles on a single charge. The RWD (5.9 seconds) and LR AWD (4.3 seconds) won’t be setting new 0-60 mph records, but we assume a Performance version is already in the works. With that said, Tesla also announced today that production for the 2025 Tesla Model Y has also commenced Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, although orders have not yet opened in that region.
