Slated to go on sale this Fall, the 2025 Toyota 4Runner comes standard with an i-FORCE turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder engine making 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
There will also be an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain available on TRD Off-Road and Limited variants, while standard on the TRD Pro, Trailhunter as well as Platinum models. This powertrain pairs the turbocharged 2.4L engine with a 48-hp electric motor integrated into the eight-speed transmission, giving it a combined 326 hp and 465 lb-ft. of torque, the most powerful powertrain ever offered on 4Runner. The 4Runner will be offered in 2WD, part-time 4WD as well as Full-time 4WD. Pricing has not yet been announced, although we do expect it to start at around $41,000 USD.
