Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot dog can now be used to fight fires, inspect suspicious packages and more. How so? It can be equipped with additional equipment to expand its capabilities in critical areas, whether it be data capture, processing, navigation, communications, or a fire hose.
Most importantly, Spot is capable of operating without human interventions and autonomously charge as well. Should Spot encounter new obstacles, the robot can dynamically plan around them, and even self-righting itself if it falls.
