Sonic Mania Plus is now available on Netflix for all subscribers, and there are no in-app purchases or ads to boot. This title is essentially an expanded version of Sonic Mania, but with Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, as well as a new game mode, Encore.
In Encore Mode, Sonic is taken back to Angel Island in the past, where he finds out that the Phantom Ruby has survived the past incident and followed him home. The events takes place after the events of the game’s Mania Mode and the conclusion of Sonic Forces. There are three save states that recompile the player’s process, as well as a “No Save” mode.

Five new games are launching exclusively on mobile for Netflix members in May. SEGA’s Sonic Mania Plus, which is out now, Jonathan Blow’s iconic platformer Braid, Anniversary Edition (with one exclusive level for Netflix members), Newfangled’s Paper Trail, and Akiisoft and Devolver Digital’s Katana Zero,” said the company in a press release.
