LEGO Voyagers Game Reveal
A fresh LEGO game is barreling toward us, and it’s shaping up to be a charming curveball compared to the wild, brick-smashing antics of past titles. Revealed at Summer Game Fest, LEGO Voyagers, developed by Light Brick Studio with Annapurna Interactive and the LEGO Group, is a co-op adventure that nails the satisfying click of snapping LEGO bricks together. “It’s about the joy of play and creativity, something LEGO has always championed,” says a representative from the LEGO Group. “We wanted to create a game that feels like you’re holding those bricks in your hands, building connections with a friend.”

In LEGO Voyagers, you and a buddy play as individual LEGO bricks, bouncing, hopping, and linking up to tackle platforming puzzles and challenges. The setup’s refreshingly chill—you’re not on a grand quest to slay legendary bad guys; you’re just vibing through vibrant, brick-built worlds that feel like a LEGO set yanked straight from your childhood bedroom. The story skips words entirely, leaning on visuals and a moody soundtrack to pull you along. This stripped-down approach makes it a breeze for players of all ages to jump in, no need to bone up on LEGO’s sprawling universe.

Co-op is the beating heart of LEGO Voyagers, built from the ground up for two players, whether you’re sharing a couch or teaming up online. The game introduces a Friend’s Pass feature, letting one player drag a pal into the full adventure without them needing to shell out for their own copy. “We believe shared experiences make the best memories,” says a spokesperson from Light Brick Studio. “The Friend’s Pass ensures anyone can jump in and feel the magic of playing together.” You’ll be snapping your brick characters together to whip up new shapes or mess with the environment in clever ways, whether it be building bridges or cracking open secret paths.

Light Brick Studio, based in Copenhagen, is steering this ship, and they’re no strangers to making LEGO feel soulful. Their earlier hit, LEGO Builder’s Journey, won hearts with its poetic spin on LEGO play, mixing puzzles with a meditative story. “We’re passionate about capturing the essence of LEGO—creativity, connection, and wonder,” says a Light Brick Studio developer. “With LEGO Voyagers, we wanted to expand that into a shared journey, where every snap of a brick feels satisfying.” You can feel that love in every pixel.

Annapurna Interactive, the folks behind gut-punch indie gems like What Remains of Edith Finch and Stray, is sprinkling their storytelling magic on LEGO Voyagers. Their knack for turning small projects into unforgettable rides suggests this game’s got more depth than just goofy fun. “We’re drawn to projects that explore human connections,” says Deborah Mars, Co-Head of Annapurna Interactive. “LEGO Voyagers is about building friendships and sharing dreams, told through the universal language of LEGO.” The game’s “beautiful brick-built worlds” paired with a heart-tugging soundtrack are ready to hit you right in the feels.
