The AirPods charging case isn’t the most exciting or aesthetically pleasing, but this new Apple ad from Korea shows the possibilities of just what you can do with them. Whether it be a burger, salt & pepper shaker, fries, or just random small animals, your imagination is the only limit. None of these are available for purchase, but it could hint at a line that may be coming sooner than later, especially since there’s a big Apple press event scheduled for September 10th. There’s no guarantee that Apple will release the third-generation AirPods at the end of 2019, but if it were to happen, many speculate this version to have noise cancellation, IPX5 water resistance, fitness tracking features, longer battery life, and possibly different colors. That’s not all, if you upgrade your devices to iOS 13 then Siri may be able to read incoming messages through AirPods as soon as they arrive, from Messages or any other SiriKit-enabled messaging app (WhatsApp, etc.).
