The AirConsole gaming platform has just launched in the new BMW 5 Series, and it uses smartphones as controllers. This in-car gaming experience on the BMW Curved Display requires you to start the AirConsole app in the vehicle and then scan a QR code before playing. Best of all, it supports multiple players simultaneously, including the rear passengers who can also participate during stops.
You’ll be able to enjoy a selection of casual games, or titles that are easy to pick up and intuitive to control, including racing, sports, quiz, simulation, strategy, jump-and-run, as well as puzzle. There will be 15 titles available to play from the start including “Go Kart Go”, “Golazo”, “Music Guess” and “Overcooked”. The portfolio of titles will be continually expanded as they become available.

To celebrate the launch of in-car gaming, the BMW Group is presenting a BMW i5 with a unique gaming wrap. Its design symbolises diving into the gaming experience down to the individual pixels. The large pixels are clearly recognisable as an homage to the now iconic 8-bit era of computer games,” said BMW.
