Bowser’s Castle begins to take shape at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood, which is set to open next year. So far, there is one confirmed attraction, Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge, an interactive dark ride attraction with augmented reality technology.
Other attractions that could be coming include Yoshi’s Adventure, which is an omnimover ride and Power Up Band Key Challenges. The latter is essentially a treasure-hunt style interactive attraction that has guests retrieving keys to defeat Bowser Jr., but it does require a separately sold Power Up Band and the official Universal Studios app. The opening of Super Nintendo World Hollywood should coincide with the Super Mario Bros. movie in 2023.
