The Lamborghini Countach became an iconic car of the 1980s for its swing-up scissor doors, and since then, many standard cars have gotten this same feature, especially Corvettes. Arizona-based Eikon Motorsports is working on a scissor door kit for the Corvette C8, and it’s currently available for pre-order. The hinges are manufactured by Vertical Doors, Inc., and it comes with all the custom mounting hardware required to get them working. Read more for a video and additional information.
Best of all, the kit mounts directly onto the Corvette’s factory bolt pattern, which means you can reverse it back to stock should you decide to sell the vehicle. One caveat: the kit costs $2899 alone or if you want everything set up for you, it’ll set you back a whopping $4,300, including installation.
