Dad Build Tank Son MWIG World of Tanks
Sure, you could buy a Polaris Rampage, but this dad wanted to build a functional miniature tank inspired by the World of Tanks game for his son, complete with tracks and even a rotating turret. Powering this machine is a 250cc engine from a Piaggio scooter making 22 hp engine. A few other components were also salvaged from the scooter including the instrument cluster and some electronic parts.

It does help that ‘Meanwhile in the Garage’ has plenty of experience with metalworking, which definitely came in handy when building the chassis as well as the differential steering and metal tracks made from steel C-channel pieces. Step inside, and you’ll find the controls and an LCD screen to use the paintball gun with GoPro camera targeting. One thing is for sure, you won’t be finding one of these for sale anytime soon.
