Tesla Model Y Driver Asleep I-15 California
The driver of a new Tesla Model Y was captured asleep at the wheel on I-15 in California earlier today, and we’re assuming that autopilot with full self-driving capability was enabled. If the latter turns out to be true, it means the vehicle can drive itself from a highway’s on-ramp to off-ramp, including suggesting lane changes, navigating interchanges, automatically engaging the turn signal and taking the correct exit.

This camera person followed the Tesla for 15-minutes trying to get their attention by honking, but to no avail, so she called 911 to report the incident. Considering Tesla’s autopilot requires drivers to make regular steering wheel or control inputs, this person should have eventually be woken up by the vehicle itself, or so we hope.
