DALL-E 2 AI Apple Car Concept MacBook
When DALL-E 2 isn’t being asked to generate the last selfie ever take on Earth, it can be used to design an Apple Car concept, or at least that’s what industrial designer John Mauriello decided to do. For those who don’t know how the AI model works, it basically creates multiple interpretations of the same prompt, and in this case, it was: “minimalist sports car inspired by MacBook”.

Phrases that the AI actually understood included ‘Sportscar’, ‘MacBook’, and ‘Aluminum’, but one thing Mauriello made sure of was to not use ‘Apple’ within the prompt. Why? DALL-E 2 isn’t yet advanced enough to differentiate between the fruit and technology company. However, it would be interesting to see the vehicle or monstrosity it comes up with if ‘Apple’ was included in the prompt. In any case, we should expect an official Apple Car reveal as soon as next year.

I told the AI to design a minimalistic sports car inspired by a MacBook and a Magic Mouse built out of aluminum and glass, while also specifying it to create something in the style of Apple’s former design head, Jony Ive” says Mauriello.
