Weighing just purported 500g, the DJI Avata could be the company’s next-generation FPV drone, complete with a cinewhoop form factor. For those unfamiliar with the term, cinewhoop basically refers to a type of FPV drone that boasts a super agile form factor and are smaller as well as more stable than standard models. The Avata is rumored to have vastly improved photo quality, similar to the DJI Mini Pro 3.
Other improvements include, improved battery life – first generation FPV has 20-minute flight time, a head chase mode, vibration function, and a touchpad for glasses menu. The glasses can be paired with your smartphone, but unfortunately, manual mode is rumored to not be supported. Unlike its predecessors, this model can be flown indoors, although we imagine it only being a viable option in larger spaces. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available, along with pricing and availability.
